PRODUCING LIQUID SOAP

Liquid soap production in Nigeria is a good business one can venture into with less capital and start making huge money within a short period of time. It is easy to use. Liquid soap is used for washing of clothes, plates, toilets, floors etc. Here is a guide on how to produce liquid soap.

Equipments needed for liquid soap production are:

  • A big bowl
  • Buckets
  • Hand gloves
  • Wooden spoon or stick
  • Containers to package the soap
  • Water

Chemicals needed for 50litres of liquid soap:

  • Pac R 1/2 kg
  • Sulphuric Acid 2litres
  • Texapol 1/2 kg
  • Soda ash 1kg
  • SLS 1/2 kg
  • Preservative(citric acid) 1/4 kg
  • Caustic Soda 1/4 kg
  • Colour as desired
  • Perfume as desired
  • Water

Method of Preparation:

Put 6litres of water into a bowl and pour your Pac R and continue to stir, pour another 6litres when it gets thicker. Mix your sulphuric acid and texapol in a separate bowl and mix with little water to dilute before adding it to the mixed pac r solution and stir. Mix soda ash with little water and pour it into the mixture and stir. Mix your caustic soda with little water and pour it into the mixture, stir continuously. Pour in the SLS which is the forming agent and stir , mix properly until it dissolves. Mix your colour with a little water in a separate bowl and pour it into the mixture and stir. Mix your preservative with little amount of water in a separate bowl and pour it into the mixture and stir. Pour in your perfume. Stir continuously and leave the liquid soap to ferment for 4days.
