5 WAYS TO CARE FOR THE EYES

Eye disorders are on the rise worldwide and many of these different eye conditions can impact vision negatively. As we age, the risk for common eye complications such as macular degeneration and cataracts increases. Here are some ways to prevent these from occurring:

1. Avoid straining your eyes: Eye strain is at an all-time high, due to the fact that we spend amount of time sitting in front of our computers, televisions, cell phones and other electronic devices that we use daily.

2. Eat healthy diets: It is important to ensure that we eat a healthy diet of nutrient-rich foods, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in order to mitigate all these factors contributing to poor eyesight and health. Examples are oranges, carrots, pumpkins, spinach and peanuts.

3. Drink plenty of water: Bright eyes rely on adequate hydration, and keeping your body hydrated will help replenish your body’s fluid. Thus reducing puffiness and redness in your eyes. Drink 8 to 10 glass of plain water everyday.
